My name is Dr. Laetitia Livesey. I am a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council and am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. I am regulated by both these organisations and am required to adhere to a strict code of ethics and provide evidence-based, high quality therapy. As a Chartered Psychologist I have reached the highest level of training in clinical psychology. I aim to provide a safe and confidential space within which to explore a variety of psychological problems from work stress and relationship difficulties to more deep seated psychological issues.
I have worked in mental health services within the NHS for over 10 years. I now work in private practice and am also an associate Clinical Psychologist with Beacon House Therapeutic Services and Trauma Team. I began my career in the NHS providing therapy within GP practices to individuals with difficulties such as anxiety and depression. After completing my doctoral training I initially worked in secondary care mental health services within the NHS working with difficulties such as obsessive compulsive disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders and psychosis. From 2012 I worked in Secure and Forensic Mental Health Services specialising in therapy for severe trauma, mood and relationship difficulties and problems which might be referred to as "personality disorder". I also provided risk assessment and supervision. Over my career I have enhanced my skills and have undertaken training in several areas including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for Trauma, Mentalisation Based Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I offer therapy through a variety of private healthcare insurers including Bupa, Aviva and AXA PPP. I also provide additional Clinical Psychological services outlined above.
